BPD added a ballpark preview of the new stadium in Pensacola. The location is really interesting since it appears it will be (almost) surrounded by the bay on three sides. Like AT&T (formerly Pac Bell) park, batters (right-handers in this case) will have an excellent chance to splash homers into the waters of the gulf.
It would have helped if the diagram of the ballpark --complete with index-- was available in a larger size since it's unclear where the parking will be.
Anyway... given the timeline, the Pelicans --short of losing the facility to an MiLB club-- will have an excellent nest in 2 1/2 years time. This clearly adds to their stability and future in the AA.
