The Hogs weren't wearing the black unis last night, not that it made any difference in how they performed.

I would hope you aren't giving up on your team after just 3 games. No real fan would quit on their team three days into the season already. I guess everyone's jumping on the Shrevepit bandwagon around here now..they're everyone's favorite or other favorite team now only because they're supposed to be good this year. I know you've been a fan of theirs for a long time, so my comment isn't directed at you. I don't pay any attention to, nor want to hear from bandwagon fans who claim to be diehard fans of their team...who never showed up until the team started winning and will disappear after the first bad season the team has. Kinda like Cowboys fans lol

I was told by one of the Airhogs' front office the other night in Fort Worth that having game webcasts and finding a local radio station to broadcast AirHog games "is not a priority and not in the budget at this time". Part of the problem is that in GP, Irving and the surrounding cities there is no local radio station. Even Fort Worth has to broadcast on a station south of there.

Don't blame the AirHogs managment for the way they run things over there. When you have your hands tied by ownership that won't devote the funding to do what they need to do in Grand Prairie, the AirHogs people have to make do. It just seems that Ventura Sports took a " build it and they will come" (rather, find some city who will pay for and build it) mentality to save money on advertising and promotions. Good heavens. I can understand if it happened over in Fort Worth, where one man's money has paid for the ballpark being built, as well as paying for everythng else, but this I don't understand. I take the GP paper now and have never seen one AirHogs advertisment in the paper. I'd like to hear from some El Paso fans out there about how Ventura runs the Diablos. I guess I have to remember that this is not an affiliated team league with teams that can afford all kinds of things for the fans.


I agree wholeheartedly, local ownership is the way to go. I hope one day some Grand Prarie people step forward and offer to buy the Hogs. There are plenty of baseball fans out there in GP and the surrounding towns that would come to AirHogs games in droves if they knew the team existed.

I don't know about choking on black, but Pete sure has been busy playing rent-a-pitcher to find anyone who can get somebody out. Look at all the pitching transactions since July 1st for the AirHogs:
