They announced the itinerary (someone at this website of theirs needs spelling lessons) for the 2009 AA All Star Game activities: http://airhogsbaseball.co...&id=429&Itemid=55 Take a look at the ticket price for the All Star Game Banquet. $150 each. For your $150, you get dinner and drinks, a special to-be-named-later guest speaker and a free tour of the facility, which happens to be the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium, where the banquet is being held..in the new Cowboys' locker room. I don't know if this is corporate greed kicking in with the Airhogs' ownership/management, or Jerry Jones charged them a mint to have this banquet at his place and it was necessary to charge this much for a ticket to cover the rental expenses. Either way, this seems to be way too much for a ticket for the AA all-star game "banquet". I remember the banquet/luncheon tickets for the old CBL All Star game that I went to in Fort Worth were something like only 20 or 25 dollars for a ticket at the time. To charge this much seems absolutely absurd for an all star game at this level. Even the Texas Rangers (MLB) don't charge even close to that much for their mid winter banquet tickets. Makes me wonder what the ASG ticket prices are going to be at this rate. If the AirHogs think they're that relevant in the DFW area at this time to ask that kind of money for an event, they are going to be majorly disappointed at the turnout for this luncheon. Why they thought having the ASG banquet this year at a football facility is beyond me. I'd like to know if this event is included with the AirHogs' season tickets this year, or do the STH's get some kind of discount purchase price. Airhogsfan, do you know anything about this? And I don't know what they charged for the AA ASG game banquet/luncheon tickets last year in St Paul or in Sioux Falls or El Paso, so can someone tell me if this is out of line or is it close to what is the norm now for this league? What a joke, all fans should join together and refuse to pay, along with refuse to pay anything more than 15.00 for a all star tickets. If this turns out to be a sucess at this price then it will be like this every year.

Not only a chance to get an inside look at the players and meet them personally its also a chance for an inside look/sneak preview at what some say is going to be the grandest stadium in the world. I highly doubt that the price of game tickets will be close to that of the banquet. I wouldn't compare this banquet much less the league to that of the old CBL. They are going out on a limb but I know a few Cowboy fans that would love a chance to see the inside of the cowboys new locker room and stadium. All things considered $150 isn't that much considering your bang for the buck. That's my thoughts....

Sorry but in many cases these are players who either 1) not good enough too be in affaliated ball 2) wont accomplish much when they get there. Its a bad deal overall, not much value for your buck!!!

This is an independent league all star game we're talking about, not the majors or even your local affiliated A, AA or AAA all star game. These players aren't known by anyone other than the fans of this league and the employees of the team they play for. There's no bang for the buck here at all, just people hoping the old saying "a sucker is born every minute" is true and that people will buy into this sham and shell out the bucks for it. Besides, as already posted earlier, what the hell does having a low level minor league baseball all star game inside a football stadium locker room have to do with what is supposed to be a celebration for the AA and independent baseball? If you want to tour the new stadium, you'll be able to do that anytime you want to. For substantally less, I guarantee anyone that. Maybe you don't think $150 is much in this day and age for a meal and a tour of a stadium considering the economy as it is now, but to me, seems like almost borderline hypocrisy for an organization that kept hammering home the idea of affordable baseball for the Dallas County baseball fans that were tired of shelling out to see the Rangers. People are losing jobs like crazy here and one of the first things people cut down on when things get tough are entertainment options. I'm just saying people aren't going to pay what these people are asking for this event. I agree that the very thing we love about this level and even affiliated ball is the chance to get close to the players and people who run these organizations without having to sacrifice an arm an a leg to be able to go to a game or a team event...a feeling of inclusiveness. Charging $150 to an event the average fan should be able to afford to go to is absurd and will almost certainly cut out a good chunk of the AirHogs' fan base that aren't season ticket holders..and probably a lot of STH's too. If a big portion of the ticket price were going to charity, that's one thing, but this is just plain greed. If you or anyone out there is stupid enough to pay $150 to see this minor league event, be my guest. It's your money, not mine.

To all the suckers have fun with the parking, the Rangers have a game at the same time at the Ballpark.

Read part of the answer to your question: With regard to your question, the answer is yes. A ticket to the All Star Game Banquet is available now for $150. I can certainly see how one might feel some initial "sticker shock" but really there are two contributing factors in play; (1) the costs and investment necessary to secure a venue of this magnitude and all of the food, beverage, speaker, stadium tours, staffing, etc. that go into the event. Keep in mind that this event will be inside the locker room of one of the most eagerly anticipated stadiums ever! And the event takes place before the stadium is even open to the public! It's a historic scenario and we were proud to pull it off. But it is not inexpensive. (2) Limited availability. Because of the limited space we have inside the stadium for the event, we have only 40 or so tickets available to the public. We are definitely not alienating anyone here; it's just basic supply and demand. As you can see I'm priced out as I'm on SSDI only have so much I can spend. I'm just wondering if I email Obama he could give me part of that Stimulas money! Gotta have my sweet tea!
