AirHogs win there first game in franchise history with a thrilling 2-1 win over the Sports in Shreveport in game one of a doubleheader. After near 14 inches of
rain and the first two games cancelled due to rain we finally get our first win. I took some photos of the game hope you enjoy. Will be there Opening Night in
GP will have tons of photos of the game and the new QuicTrip Park!

Now for a "dumb" questions based upon the fact you made the trip to Shreveport... Which mascot are they using this year? Is it Pistol the Pelican or the hound dog? If the hound dog, what is his name? I think is "Elvis" but maybe it's another "Homer Hound." I'm asking because I'm in the midst of doing my Shreveport guide and I can't find his name anywhere. |

The answer is Hemi the Ram. I did not see the Big Pelican. Another note on the game attendance was 2,000 plus the catch to that is all were free admission to
5th graders in the Shreveport ISD! Total real fans less than 30!

Hmm.... I think that was a sponsor's mascot. Hemi is probably from Dodge. I guess I can sort this all out in person in two weeks since I'll pass through Shreveport on my way to Pensacola. |
