well the peoria chiefs and kane county courgars are going to play a game
7-29 this year at wrigley at night......if they draw over 30k it counts as a cubs night game.......I picked up my tickets today! mike |

Hey Mike, according to the Chicago Trib,
If the first-of-a-kind event draws more than 10,000 fans-"and we think we'll far exceed that number," Kenney said-it will cost the Cubs one of their 30 allotted night dates. I don't see any problem with this event drawing that number |

This is such a great idea, I cannot believe it waited so long to happen.
I'd say 30,000 will easily be achieved. |

I'll be in Milwaukee at Miller Park that evening watching the Cubs and Brewers and will unfortunately be unable to attend.

Whatever happened to the "compromise" of 18 night games that allowed the Cubs to put in the lights in the first place.

Compromise, like the Treaty of Greenville, is what happens to the people who believed they had a "deal" when the guys with the money agreed to it.
They get to claim they had a compromise. The guys with the money agree that there was one, but since they have the money, it's a not worth discussing. |

I think there's been some renegotiation which now allows them more night games per season. I think they're up to 25 or 30 now.
