No need really to keep repeating the same link in your last few posts, but I like your enthusiasm.
Since I live in GP, I'd like to meet up with you sometime. Like to get to know some other GP fans and discuss the upcoming season. PM me if you want. Went by the park today to setup a group nite in July when the FW Cats come to town and got another tour. REALLY looking good with the grass and the red seats! Exterior is nothing to get excited about ( I rate the exterior look a C; looks like a big cattle barn from the outside ), but the inside reminds me a lot of the Cedar Rapids IA Class A Kernels'
Vets Stadium (one of my favorite Class A parks) with a similar concourse and seating design. And those red seats look an awful lot like the ones in CR's
park too. The likeness ends with the outfield wall and the swimming pool and the bullpens right in the middle of the seating areas (much like Frisco,TX's
ballpark).
I already give the thing high marks and am looking forward to a lot of games there. My rep says they have about 700 season tickets sold so far. He also said that the pocket schedules won't be ready until around the date single game tix go on sale (week from Saturday). Something about the advertising/rights or something holding them up. I did get to see a basic pocket schedule sans some advertising and it looks nice. They're not going to put the specific game promotions in there, just the main ones they will have every night (Thirsty Thursday, Fireworks Saturday, etc.). The AA season starts a month from today! Play Ball already!!!
