I know that this is a hockey and football town, but my vision is that one day the general public gives at least half as much attention to the Fish as they do to the Bombers.  That means I would love to see us draw 6,000 to 6,500 per game with more and more fans decked out in Goldeyes gear and actually paying attention to the game.  The first step however, is bringing more fans to the park in the first place.  You gotta get 'em in the door before you can hook 'em on the game.  Here are a few of my ideas that could help make the game experience more enjoyable:

1. More stats on the video board - Baseball's popularity is all about the performance and presence of the players.  Plain and simple, the casual fan probably won't buy a program so seeing nothing but a batting average on the auxillary board will not teach them anything more about the players.  This is why the hi def board should be used to display more in depth stats as well as information on the player.  It certainly would ensure the casual fan has more of an opportunity to become invested in the game

2. Less "bush league" between inning contests - These contests are the biggest difference between a big league and minor league baseball experience.  Sure they are necessary for sponsorship money, but why not have a sponsored "fan cam" instead where current hit music is blasted between innings and the camera focuses in on pretty girls (just like Twins games).  This would make the game production seem more professional and also more fun to the 18-34 demo that wants to be at the game to have a good time.

3. Fashionable Merchandise - I know the Fish don't sell enough swag to have a selection as big as the Bombers, but why not make an attempt to sell more trendy apparel.  It's not hard either, since the Major League season has already started why not scan what has been popular in Major League team shops and try to come up with similar items.  We definitely need Player Jersey T-Shirts again.  Since baseball is all about the star power of the players, why not try to market one or two of them.  Walker, Kendall and Thorman would all be slam dunks.

4. Wi-Fi - Free wi-fi at the ballpark could encourage fans to use their phones for baseball purposes!  Advertise the Goldeyes app throughout the game and maybe even have a between inning promo where the Video Board shows tweets from the fans (only tweets about the game or being at the game).  The best tweet wins a Goldeyes prize (maybe an official cap or tickets to an upcoming game)

As you can see, my ideas all involve attracting and retaining younger fans, the ones that will spend more money at the park.  Once they are there some of these enhancements could help them learn about the game and get more involved with it so they can fall in love with baseball like we all have and keep coming back all while having a great time.

For my own selfish purposes, I would like to see the Goldeyes install new netting behind home plate.  There is a new net type being used in the minor leagues that is much lighter, stronger and less obstructive.  My biggest problem with the current one is the cables that begin at each dugout and cross the sighlines of many fans.
