Coles seems to be a solid pick up, he had a couple very nice at bats and seemed to be quite personable. hopefully he has a productive and enjoyable time while wearing red.

nice player profile story on mike coles in the sunday forum. yesterday was my first trip to the
nest this year, my first beergarden visit (though the NoL knowitalls just weren't complete without J, stay safe and hope to see you soon) and my first
conversation with random strangers who happened to have seats near mine (i have great hope for the future knowing at least three fine young ladies not only
know who gene kelly is, they adore him), and of course my first tip of my cap across the redhawks dugout to Redhawksfan4ever.

Nice pick-up, Mike was part of the Windy City Thunderbolts FL Champs last year. Your second paragraph explains why the Jackhammers
didn't need him this year. |

Coles appears to be a real genuine nice guy. My friend and I went down to get autographs and he was signing balls and bats for some kids, laughing and teasing them. He just seemed like he enjoyed the game and knew that the fans were important part of it. Penprase on the other hand looked like it was a chore to have to sign a ball for a kid. Was not impressed with him even though he is a good player. Some of these guys need a reality check and come back to planet earth. Im sure not of them are like that, but its a big disappointment when you run into them. |

Not a guy i would look at and think "there's a lead-off hitter" but he has been fantastic as the sparkplug for the 'hawks. A class act on the field, i hope he's enjoyed fargo as much as i've enjoyed watching him play. He is a Baseball Player, and it's been a joy to watch him practice his profession. *tip of the cap* |
