After the RailCats right fielder made a complete fool of himself in the first inning, the game settled down and was within an extra-base hit of turning a
disaster into a comeback. The Hammers dodged a bullet Saturday night.
If the RailCats can convert some rallies to runs, they might do all right. (Nice rings, btw.) |

don't know if was same right fielder as thurs but he has a problem picking the ball up
out there for some reason and it was really evident that night..... mike |

Net result was the fans are beginning to boo the guy. That's really not fair under any conditions but Cristian just muffed both rather routine fly balls, and flubbed a couple of other tries. Then striking out in a key spot, failing to score on a single to right. He's not a fan favorite. Sad actually, that ANY of these guys are booed, and I think more than a few of us were embarrassed that was happening. I can see the Cats putting Haake back in right field (he was DH'ing Saturday) and being forced to make a decision on Cristian G, who doesn't seem like a natural defensive whiz no matter what. If the Cats have him for power, that's never gonna show up in that ballpark. There were a couple of balls that were crushed that didn't clear in left center. |

ya know I still don't like it when people boo their own team......in all my years I've never booed one player......used a bunch of expletives way too many times tho....LOL |

I can only think of one reason to boo somebody and that's for unprofessional behavior on the field. That starts and ends with the manager, not the fans.
. Yeah, I've used the "you-bum" line a few times, but I can truthfully say I have never seen a pro player who didn't do his best. These guys just don't get paid enough to be booed. I can safely say that most of the people who heard the booing were upset that they were hearing it. I hope the word spreads. |
