It's never too early to worry! |

0-3 in the exhibition schedule...no hitting and our improved (on paper) pitching is getting knocked around. Hopefully all these new guys are just slow
starters.

I too realize that it's early, but I was not impressed with what I saw. It also seemed weird to see the new 3B wearing number 27. My son said if he ever
sees a current Saltdog wearing number 22, he's going to become a St. Paul fan!

It may take a long time for all these guys to gel, especially just changing coaches halfway through the exhibition season. I have to admit that I felt very
little excitement getting out to the ballpark last night. It was good to see guys like Mark Roberts and Corey Harrington back. The long road trip could serve
as a springboard to a great first half like the last few years or it could cause trouble if they struggle. It will interesting to see who shakes out as the
team leaders with Bryan, Josh, and Pichi gone. One thing you could always count on with those guys was hustle and effort. This team may not be successful
until the second half. but I hope I'm wrong.

I didn't make it out to the exhibition game Thursday. I have not been happy with any of the changes in the off-season, so honestly I will be there on May
16, but man...I am just not excited. I'm sorry to see the early problems though. A championship this year would be pretty meaningless to me with TJ as
the manager and no players on the team that I like (except Harrington), BUT I don't want to see them fail, so I hope things improve.

I understand that we all will miss our favorite players, but to say a championship would be meaningless.........thats just stupid!!!!!!! Then you say you
don't want to see them fail......Wow I'm a Cardinal fan so when they didn't bring back Eckstein, Rolen , and Edmonds I was really disapointed, but
I'm still a Cardinal fan. And if they win the World Series this year it will still be special. So if the Saltdogs win it that would be very special also.
With or without the old players.Wow!!I hope the new Dogs have a great season and as always GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I was specific in my comment, but rereading it, I can see that it wasn't specific enough. I meant the championship would be meaningless to me
personally as a fan of the Saltdogs, not meaningless overall.

You were very specific. What you're saying is that no matter what the Dogs do, it will be meaningless to you. So why even go then?????

That's not what I said. but the back and forth of this is pretty silly, so I say, onto other things!

Yep...can't wait for Friday. 2-5 on the road trip is not good and the pitching has been horrible. Good news is that the hitting has been pretty good and
I believe the pitching will come around - too many good arms on this staff for it not too in my opinion.
And Dustin Yount is on fire. I'll definitely eat my words if that
kid produces like this all year.
