Let me state, up front, stadia (plural?) designed for baseball no woik so gud fer soccer. I DO like the additional seating - CAB definitely needs it, despite
others' unhappiness with the attendant price increase for former (now displaced) berm-ers.
Here's how we're sitting on this here soccer thang as of now: the Wizards (who play with a larger ball, by the way, and don't use wood or metal bats unless they fall readily to hand...) will play no more than two seasons at CAB. I was mistaken in the past thinking that the area being considered for a permanent home for 'em was nothing more than a HUGE vacant lot. It isn't. There's still the remains of a rather large - and closed down - shopping mall there that'll have to be removed. Some residents of the area are complaining as they think the mall ought to be reopened. That's ridiculous, so I suspect Kansas City, the Missouri side, will have that settled soon, and the bulldozers knocking stuff down in the short term. I hope...
