Does anyone know the results of the Flyers exhibition games? All the other teams seem to have them posted on their website.

I never saw the score of Thursday's game against Gary but I know the RailCats won the game. Or so claimeth the RailCats.
I am more interested personally in names of players than anything,
It could be they didn't "keep score" in that game. It was at the Alex.

Nice night to raise money for charity. Don't let the score fool you, boys from play ball did put on a show including a spectacular diving catch in the center field. Too bad I did catch that on tape, it was quite impressive.
Crowd could have been bigger, only scary moment was when a fan was hit with a screaming foul ball on the third base side.

Should have come out and enjoyed a nice night and some fun baseball.

DIAMOND DARE IV RELEASED 5/10/2008
Matt Varner unvarnished in Play Ball USA exhibition game

	Schaumburg, IL- The Schaumburg Flyers pitchers allowed a combined 3 hits in the 4th annual Diamond Dare charity exhibition game against the Play Ball USA Patriots. The Flyers blanked the Patriots in a 20-0 win at Alexian Field. Flyers starting pitcher Matt Varner did not allow a hit and fanned 11 over 5 innings pitched. The Flyers notched a double steal in the 3rd and showed that their offense was also in season-shape with an impressive eight-run 4th inning. The bottom of the 4th featured a triple by Mark Haske and a three-run homerun by Chris Gaskin. All proceeds from the Diamond Dare IV charity game will benefit The Les Turner ALS Foundation & the Alexian Brothers Health Foundation. The Flyers start their regular season on Thursday, May 15th against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at 6:20 p.m. at Alexian Field.

Of course they keep score, we're not playing T-Ball here.

What this "It was at the Alex"? The Alex I know of is a hotel is in Midtown Manhattan

Oh, I get it! you wanted to call it Alexian, because adding the "ian" can be so taxing you just let it off!

Sorry I missed the game, at the Police concert. Looks like the game was lots of fun. Looks like Bearon is shrinking or your son is getting bigger!

Looks like this will be a fun season, can't wait to get out to Alexian Field and catch a game, it's been too long of a winter!

FLYERS TAKE FINAL EXHIBITION GAME 6-3 RELEASED 5/12/2008
Schaumburg ready for Opening Day with win over Southern Illinois Miners

	Schaumburg, IL- The Flyers� bats were in top form as Schaumburg took the final exhibition game from the Southern Illinois Miners today at Alexian Field. Flyers� starting pitcher Brad Mumma earned the win in the exhibition game, pitching two innings. Designated hitter Peanut Williams drove in a run in the 1st, giving the Flyers the early lead. The Miners answered back, scoring one in the 2nd. The Flyers struck again in the 4th when second baseman Bo Hart drove in two and Miners pitcher Mike Eifel walked in a run. The Miners scored two in the 7th, but Ryan Luther�s two-run homerun in the 8th gave the Flyers a three-run advantage and the final score of 6-3. The Schaumburg Flyers� Brad Mumma earned the win and the Southern Illinois Miners� Mike Eifel was credited with the loss

If JohnU11 wants to call Alexian Field "the Alex" that's ok. That's his choice. I don't have to like it, but he can call it what ever he wants. Last time I checked this was a country of free speech. But beyond that:
1) he is obviously a CWS fan, (that's ok too), there is room for both chocolate and vanilla in the fridge. And
2) maybe he thinks calling it "the Alex" is cool. It kinda does have the same coolness sound to it like "the Cell". (sure beats what one guy wanted to call it a few years back,"the Bro")
But ya know what boys, in the end, Alexian Field was designed to resemble the one on the north side, and that field could never be called "the Wrig" so--- 'nuff said?
I will continue calling it Alexian Field.

Don't waste your time on that stuff, we all know people here can not pick up on humor even when you add the smiley face at the end. All they do is get pissy and run to daddy who then threatens to take the computer away.

BTW, I wanted to go to the police concert too, but could not justify $250 a ticket. That's almost a full season watching baseball out at Alexian.

Hostmom, will you be bringing the spoon to the games this weekend?

OK, guys... knock it off.

It's not been lost on some of us that the IP address for Cody and Billy are often the same (208.226.211.20) except in the morning when Billy posts from somewhere else (76.209.230.26). This suggests that they may be one and the same. Maybe they use the same computer (family) or ISP (neighborhood, provider, coffee shop). Maybe they are two different people.

Whatever the case, the sniping should stop now. If I get more complaints about either I'll block both those IPs and give them a 60-day time out.
