I heard he's gone.

if thats true my question is why

I would ask that as well. I would think they would try to keep at least one team favorite for the fans. I know they feel Yac is inconsistent offensively. |

Well, they stuck the knife in so why not twist it?

he had one ok year come on he hit 290 and 10 homeruns the year before thats not that bad plus his defense makes up for it big time

I think he is great defensively as well. I think they are just in rebuilding mode and looking for a diferent chemistry. I thnk Yac is a great team motivator,
but he is not a team leader.

yeah im sure your right. but im sure he is a leader without trying to lead.

Its Official | ||

Saltdogs.com reporting that Jay was traded to Sussex for LHP Vince Davis and 3B Ben Tinius. So long and good luck to Jay.

Tinius is a career .251 hitter in 4 seasons of independent baseball with a total of 22 homers.
Vince Davis is 15-18 in 4 seasons of independent ball with an ERA well over 4.00 No comment....

Look at more recent stats and its not that bad
|
BA H 2B HR RBI BB SO
.282 184 41 15 102 64 124 .283 192 41 15 103 49 87 these are the stats over the past 2 seasons for both Tinius and Yaconetti. The comparison is almost identical outside of of walks and k's its the same guys offensively and you are adding a valuable lefty that can start of relieve. |

i was making a joke about the defense thing.

I was replying to the stats above your post
|
I was making the stat comparison since they were saying Tinius' career stats aren't as good as the past two seasons. Your post wasnt there when I
first clicked to reply but I took time looking up the stats.

well if were going to look up stats like that why stop at two years? lets look at the past three
|
|||

Thats very true | ||
|
But I can also say Randy johnson 3 and 4 years ago 17 and 16 games respectively but only won 4 games last season. I think the last two are more of a
representation of how a player is currently doing in their career then delving deep with career numbers. I know you were just joking with it but thats the
only reason I did 2 years.

There is more..... | ||
|
there is also the vaunted "player to named later" to leave the 'Dogs in this trade. Lets see.....Jarret Gardner is the only player who was on
the roster on the '06 team that won both division titles that is left. Am I right? I think he pitched early in the year and then signed with the Padres
organization.
