I think 5 for 1 (Patton) should come down to Winnipeg and talk to Andrew we still have 2 veterin spots open. I think it would be a nice place to spend the last
of his time. Comeeeeeee onnnnnnn downnnnnn JOSH

I wonder if they'll try and sign Yaconetti? Or make it a clean sweep. I hope they sign him. I watched him alot and always felt he give 100%. Time will tell I guess. And I do have faith in the Saltdogs management. In the past they have always tried to out a winning team on the field. I'm looking forward to another year at Haymarket Park. And for those of you who are not members of the fan club, you should give it a try. The people that run it are very faithful to the Dogs. They do alot of good things. So lets have FUN in 2008 and as always GO DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Corey Courtney...because the guys weren't healthy enough for the playoffs? O.C. because he didn't drive the bus the right speed to St Paul and the
team lost game 3? Maybe keep Ken Siemek and Brad Anderson away from Haymarket Park because the rain postponed game 2 and took away the team's chance for
redemption while they were angry?
Josh Patton hit .335 and had only 9 errors at 2B in 88 games! 41 Walks to 27 Ks and second on the team with 63 RBI. They had to fight to keep him off the field after he suffered a concussion. He was always signing and talking with the kids before and after the games. This is just plain nuts! |

If we're in the "kick out the incumbants" mode here, is T.J. going to be on the list too?
I've heard that Mr. Abel hates to loose and has vowed to do whatever is needed to bring a championship to Lincoln. While I appreciate this comittment, I do wonder about the wisdom of getting rid of solid, dependable, proven players. The problem last year was clearly a lack of pitching. Why on earth did we "loan" Ryan Trytten to Ft. Worth and let them use him to win another championship? I also have to wonder if Mr. Abel would rather have a good team that draws good crowds and has a loyal following, or a great team that nobody follows or cares about because they don't follow the "flavor of the week" roster. Will be interesting to see how far all of this goes........ |

I agree with Caretaker and would love to see Josh in a Goldeyes uniform. I am surprised that the Saltdogs would let him go as he was playing well year after
year for them.

if Abel truly hates to lose, I wish he'd fire the other person common among the last seasons where we have looked good but not won a championship...TJ.
(Okay, that's the last time I'll say that before seeing things this season. If this season goes badly though, I will be on here again called for Tim
Johnson to be fired).
