Many of you are aware that last season I had a bat made for each team in the Northern League and had them signed by the players. Actually, some signed 2 bats because of the trades. Well, I finally got them up in the bar in our house and would like to share what I did. (It actually looks much cooler in person.) I had so many compliments when we had our Christmas Party. I have one bat for each of the teams, even Calgary and Edmonton, 2 from a former "son," a "give-away"--the short bat, a host-parent bat, a RailCats team bat from 2006.and a bat that was broken by Josue' Lopez (formerly Schaumburg) that belonged to Eric Cole and containing the names of the 2006 Schaumburg Flyers--many of whom played for KC last season. I plan to add a bat from the Windy City Thunderbolts and one more "yet to be named." The baseballs are a game ball that our first "son" Travis Kerber gave me and logo balls from various teams, although I still need to get some, but it's not quite finished. There are a couple of posters and winning newspaper articles yet to be framed and hung.
Thanks to all of you who took the time to sign everything. Viki Williams

. That room has a built-in
bar and 2 televisions with surround sound, so the guys CAN watch more than one game at a time. That was our plan--to have a "baseball bar."
