* Spirit
* Sky Kings
* Citations
* 787's/Dreamliners
* Lightning
* Wham
* River Cats
* Mustangs
* Air Caps
* Dust Devils
Clearly there is a airline theme in this bunch. Can you imagine a game between the Air Hogs and the "Air Caps" or "Sky Kings" and Aviators?
None of these particularly excite me. I find myself going for the un-imaginative Mustangs if, for no other reasons, it doesn't sound so "kitsch."
Back to History
If one looks at the history of Wichita team team names (as shown on the history tower at the ballpark) there are some better options.
* Wranglers ( '89-'07 )
* Pilots ( '87-'88 )
* Aeros ( '70-'84)
* Braves ( 1887, 1956-'58 )
* Indians ( '50-'55 )
* Aviators ( '29-'33 )
* Larks ( '27-'28 )
* Izzies ( '21-'26 )
* Wolves ( '15-'16 )
* Witches ( '14, '17-'20 )
* Jobbers ( 1908-'13 )
* Jabbers ( 1905-'07 )
* Eagles ( 1896 )
Of these I like the Aeros best with Izzies, Jobbers/Jabbers and maybe Larks as alternatives. A city with such a history should try to recapture some of it.

As I recall, Grand Prairie took
a while to come up with their name and logo too. So, again, for now,......Go Dubbya's!!!!
