Sorry, but I have little control over the board features. There is no "ignore" function that I know of. Feature requests need to go ezboard. And even if I weren't the sponsor these forums I'd never use them since it would break up the discussion posts that reply to the filtered.

As for "keyboard diarrhea" I don't see anything all that out of the ordinary. Bandwidth traffic isn't up significantly. AG's complaints about the Goldeyes are hardly anything new. You need only look the the latest battle Chico & I have been having about the Flyers' eBay auction promotion. That tempest in a teacup has more keystrokes involved --most them mine (as usual).

Extremism turns Ironic

AG is repeatedly tough on the Fish but he's also (apparently) from the Peg. In some ways an extreme version of a Goldeyes fan -- he wants nothing less than playoffs and championships. His opinion is definitely more extreme than the other Fish fans (and considerably harder to support factually).

As I started rebutting his posts I realized something. IMO in many ways, his rants are not all that much beyond some of those during the "gloom & doom" expressed during the 2005 season. He's not the first to take issue with the front office (including Andrew Collier), the coaching or the quality of play. He's just taken a dubious view that the 2006 season is already doomed and that the entire franchise needs to be rebuilt. In that regard he's the ultimate expression of some of the more unpopular aspects of some Goldeyes fans I've read.

We'll have to see how long he wants to keep up the pace. I'd add that, like Chico, he's not all vitriol in all his posts. Some of his posts are on target (like his comment about 5' 10" right handers not being prospects-- something I just read in the book Dollar Sign on the Muscle which is about baseball scounting). It's just curious that he suddenly arrived and immediately started venting his spleen over the Fish forums.

Skip his posts, reply to them, it's your choice.
