attributes to the team and Camacho was a guy that I became a fan of when El Paso was in town.

I like the date of your post 30-Jan-25. Are you connected to us in the distant future?

WOW, Josh Patton | ||

I think its great that a player like Josh Patton has chosen to come to SF, hes a quality player and a class act. It sounds like Mr. Shirley has the respect of
the best players in the league if they believe they can come to SF and be Champions

Agreed! That guy just flat out hits. I can't remember him ever striking out when we've played him.

RE: Patton | ||

All I know is that when we played against Patton I really disliked him. So that must mean that when he is playing for us, I will love it! Can't wait for
the season!

No Abner Arroyo this year.
According to Shirley on the Canaries website, he's trying to make the Puerto Rican Olympic team and go to Beijing this summer. Since he wasn't sure if he'd be available to play in Sioux Falls, he asked the Canaries to release him so we could fill the roster spot with somebody else. And now a Can-Am League team has picked him up off waivers, so even if he doesn't make the Olympic team, he probably won't be playing here... |

Ottawa is where former SC manager Nottle is, I believe. Maybe he was helping us out
I was surprised to check the transactions today and see that SC acquired Arroyo. That's a huge pickup. |

I think they acquired the rights to Abner. Should Abner decide to play in the U.S.this year, SC would have the first crack at signing him.

They must know something, because to me it doesn't make much sense to trade your starting first basemen (Jabe Bergeron) for a possible replacement.
This article makes it sound as if he's set to play for SC, though I guess it never really does say he has been signed. http://www.xsbaseball.com/box/x/?id=6343

How many Veteran players are allowed on a roster, Will Smith, Pat Mahomes, Ben VanIderstine, Josh Patton make 4, I guess if they could have 5 it would be a
shame to loose Abner

AA roster rules state the maximum number of verterans (5+ years of
service) is 4.
Abner is (already) gone so it won't matter. |

I guess I don't get what the problem is then with Abner going to play somewhere else, SF has 4 great looking Veteran players and no room for him

As for the veteran count, I think that Arroyo had already been released before we signed Patton, but I could be wrong. Interesting that the AA's
transactions page shows him being traded from Ottawa to SC,
but doesn't show anywhere how (or when) he got from SF to Ottawa...ETA: Maybe that's par for the course on the transactions page. It
shows El Paso claiming Aaron Garrison off waivers, but doesn't show when we put him on waivers. Apparently putting a player on waivers
doesn't qualify as a "transaction," but you'd still think Arroyo being claimed off waivers by Ottawa would.

Arroyo being claimed off waivers was on the Can-Am transactions.

This might be the reason you did not see a transaction. The other reason is that the league office is lazy and misses a lot of things!
