You know how on the bottom of the NL site it has other independent league sites? Well I could have sworn they had the GBL logo there but it's not. I never noticed the South Coast League site there before and it is a DEFUNCT league!

Season Ticket Booklets

Just got home from the Goldeyes Open House. Wow! am I impressed with the booklets that season ticket holders get there tickets in. The tickets are beautiful and each ticket has players on them all the way back to beginning and even allstar members. I licked the super sized allstar ticket also. These will be great collectables.

Wish I had computer skills to show you some. Maybe someone can do that.

My question is are we just lucky or do all teams in both Leagues have great...

Homeless players?

Anyone catch the Flyers website with the advertisement for "homeless baseball players". I know players are the ponds in the game of baseball but do we need to insult them too?What do you guys think?

With only a month to go, it seems the RailCats are still rather sluggish in promoting the team and season.
This may be in part due to the fact that longtime P.R. voice Tom Nichols has departed for Dayton (the Dragons).
But we still haven't had an announcement on who will do the radio, and the signings are rather sporadic. Other than the big splash over the new owner, not much has come out of the front office.

I am just curious if the other NoL teams are doing anything...

South Coast Lg Suspends Operations

The SCL announced yesterday that they are suspending operations for the 2008 season. They were already down to 4 teams, and seemed left with little choice. This means you will see more players available for the NL player pool. Joliet MGR Wally Backman was in the SCL last season

Is it time to increase Salary Cap and add another Veteran Player

Hi People

Would any body like to discuss wither its time to increase the salary cap to allow another Veteran to be added to each team. I think it would raise the calibre of each team and enable teams to give more days off to position players.

Ok How about some of the cities from this league join the Northern League.
Both Regina and Saskatoon are each twice as big as Fargo.
Sure their stadiums may have to have added seating but they do have teams and ballparks.
What is the minimum requirements for a city to join the Northern League anyway?
