Noticed the Airhogs schedule is out; so far the only AA team with theirs online.

22 games with the Fort Worth Cats - I noticed July 4 weekend three games at QTP vs. the Cats, but that July 4 game is in Fort Worth the next night after the teams play in GP. Guess it's a given FW...

Whats with these AirHogs? Losing the first 3 games to the Cats! So you gonna wear BLACK this year! You guys up north have no clue what the temperture here in north Texas in July and August record breaking heat of 100 degrees or better. Wow what a complete and total joke and descrase!! QT Park hosts a Lingere Football League! I may have ben the last to know about this, but really, that trash in a baseball field is a complete descrase. I bet there are lots of "classy" women playing, just about as classy as those at the local Gents Club. Game attendance was listed as 5,445, which is a sellout. The berm areas were not used, probably because the sod was only put in a couple weeks ago and needs to get roots down. The crowd didn't really get behind the Hogs till about halfway thru the game. I think it was the deer in the headlights look they had checking out this great (but not without its' flaws, more later on that) new facility.

By a slim margin (54 to 46 percent), voters approved the Grand Prairie Ballpark proposition last night. One of the local TV stations declared the proposition passed last night about 10:15 with 72% of the vote in, but most of the other media outlets were saying there were several large precinct votes that needed to be counted yet. That's why I didn't post this till this morning.

So now everyone has declared this vote official, although the actual certified vote count apparently isn't...

Looks like the Texas Rangers are more worried than we thought about the possibility of the Grand Prairie stadium project becoming a reality. If only the Rangers would devote this much energy and more money to improving their on the field product as they are getting behind trying to stop this stadium from being built:
